Crinkle, Crunchy & Screatures

We’ve been sort of busy around the house lately trying to prepare for the new baby’s arrival. I think I’ve been making Rick a little crazy with all of my nesting projects. There have been plenty of closets cleaned out, furniture rearranged, and laundering of baby clothing and bedding. In the midst of all of […]

Pantry Building Blocks

I left the other morning for a doctor’s appointment. Apparently, this is what I missed. It seems that the regular blocks Quin has to build with are just not enough. He grabbed a bunch of stuff from the pantry and decided to build. We thought it was pretty funny yet creative. If Quin visits at […]

Christmas Recap

I suppose we’ve been a little lax in our postings as of late. There are no good excuses, just apologies, although I don’t think anyone has been asking us for a new post. I thought it might be nice to post just a few pictures and updates about the holidays. Christmas Eve was spent at […]

Fall into Reading Challenge Wrap-up

Today marks the end of the Fall into Reading Challenge that I attempted to participate in for the first time. I’m going to follow Katrina’s list of questions to wrap up for those who might be interested in learning how I did. Did you finish reading all the books on your fall reading list? If […]

Christmas decorating with a 2-year old

Someone should have warned me how much longer it would take to decorate a Christmas tree with a 2-year old boy. The tree was up and half-way decorated when Quin awoke from his nap today. He came down and took a look at the tree. He uttered one word as he stared at it, “Christmas.” […]

Trains

This morning Quin woke up and was playing in his room as is becoming more usual since he moved to a toddler bed. After a bit, we heard him saying “Train! Train!” and “Choo-choo!” — again, not unusual to hear while Quin plays. He has several toy trains (mostly of the Thomas the Tank Engine […]

After dinner music

After Quin finishes dinner (really, just about any meal) his mouth starts going. Usually he sings some incomprehensible goofiness, and a lot of the time it is accompanied by “drum playing”. I especially like the 1-2-3-4-5 count before the music can start.
