I had been taking compazine to counteract it, but it was only marginally effective.  I was able to have relief from the nausea for around 2 hours during any 6 hour block of my day.<\/p>\n<p>When I told this fact to my mother the pharmacist, she suggested that I call the doctor and ask about other medications.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>They have prescribed ZOFRAN for me to counteract the nausea, and it works <em>marvelously<\/em>!  At times I forget that I&#8217;m even on the chemo!<\/p>\n<p>Of course I&#8217;m still pretty weak, which is apparent every time I have to get up and walk around, but thank God the nausea isn&#8217;t a big factor anymore!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been battling nausea ever since I started the chemotherapy treatment.
