Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to the coolest couple we know married in 1962.  From their hip and cool dating days to those coffee days at Myrtle Beach and all the days in between, we love you.

Happy Birthday Wishes

Today is not only one day closer to our annual family vacation, it is also my dear sister’s birthday.  Happy Birthday to my one and only sister, to the one who has always shared her laughter, her joy and her chocolate with me.  You are a great sister Nancy, and you are a great aunt […]

Remembering Glenn

There were only six years between me and Glenn.  But somehow he always seemed so much older.  He had different friends, different interests, and had moved ahead of me in the growing up years so quickly.  As I reflect back over those years, I remember… He played with cool toys like legos and lincoln logs.  […]

Wow, it’s June already

I can’t believe that summer is now upon us.  I also cannot believe how neglectful I’ve been to post anything here.  My apologies to those of you that actually come by to visit. We’ve been cruising right along through our weeks with the usual craziness.  We had a visit from grandma and grandpa and Aunt […]

Christmas Recap

I suppose we’ve been a little lax in our postings as of late. There are no good excuses, just apologies, although I don’t think anyone has been asking us for a new post. I thought it might be nice to post just a few pictures and updates about the holidays. Christmas Eve was spent at […]

Vacation Fun

We’ve been enjoying some fun but exhausting days in Myrtle Beach.  We made it to Broadway at the Beach with the entire Reynolds family one night.  We enjoyed dinner at Joe’s Crab Shack, and then witnessed Marah and Grant spend their “allowance” on a build-a-bear and a specially designed car.   We took a trip […]

The Beach

We arrived in Myrtle Beach sometime yesterday.  Today we took Quin down to enjoy all that God’s creation has to offer here.  He seemed to really enjoy the sand and the water.  Here are just a few pictures.  (Oh, and yes, he insisted on keeping that pacifier in his mouth for most of the morning. […]

Heartbeat

Today was a normal appointment for me with the OB/GYN.  However, it turned out to be quite exciting.  I am at 10+ weeks and the heartbeat is usually consistently found somewhere around 12 weeks.  The lovely nurse at my doctor’s office was skilled enough to find the heartbeat today.  What an exciting sound.  I remember […]

God’s grace in time of trial

One week ago this morning I was the most frightened I have ever been.   Last Sunday night, Vivian got sick. She caught a flu from Quin who had been sick on Sunday. Quin’s symptoms were “kiddy flu” kinds of symptoms: runny diapers, lethargy, and he threw up twice. It made us both sad […]
