A minor drug change makes a big difference

I have been battling nausea ever since I started the chemotherapy treatment. I had been taking compazine to counteract it, but it was only marginally effective. I was able to have relief from the nausea for around 2 hours during any 6 hour block of my day.

When I told this fact to my mother the pharmacist, she suggested that I call the doctor and ask about other medications.

They have prescribed ZOFRAN for me to counteract the nausea, and it works marvelously! At times I forget that I’m even on the chemo!

Of course I’m still pretty weak, which is apparent every time I have to get up and walk around, but thank God the nausea isn’t a big factor anymore!
